Simple Sympathy card

Hello!  Thanks for joining me and reading this blog, I really do appreciate every click, like and comment.

I know none of us like to have to make Sympathy cards and it can be upsetting to have to make one exactly when you need it; so I tend to have some on hand and hope that I don’t need them.

This was one heavily inspired by StampinStarCreations.co.uk, their card was one of the reasons that encouraged me to buy the Rooted In Nature bundle.  Here’s my version…

I stamped the large leaf from Rooted in Nature with versamark onto Whisper White card and sprinkled half of it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder, turned the card around and sprinkled the rest with Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder then heat set it.  I also put some versamark ink around the edges of my panel and again sprinkled both powders on different areas.  I wrapped this panel with Copper Metallic thread .

My card base is 29 x 10.5cm, scored at 14.5 cm to give a portrait tent fold.  I added a layer of Copper Foil measuring 8.5 x 12.5 cm.  I stamped a piece of Whisper White card measuring 8 x 12 cm with the sentiment from Better Together in versamark, used the Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it.

I added the Whisper White panel I’d just stamped onto the Copper Foil and then added the panel with the Leaf and thread to my card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I really like the combination of 2 embossing powders in the same image and I hope you do too.
