Old Stables Sketch Challenge

The lovely Liz over at the Old Stables Crafty Hangout set a sketch challenge on Saturday, just for fun.  Here’s the sketch we were challenged with…

As I really didn’t have much time to play along I decided to use the Perfect Days Memories & More cards to come up with a quick card.  They were perfect for the job.

As usual I started of with Whisper White thick card stock measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored at 14.5cm to create a portrait tent fold base. I then trimmed the large striped Memories & More card to 14 x 10 cm.  I trimmed 2 other monochrome cards from the pack to 2.5 x 3 inches.  I glued the 2 smaller cards to the larger one and then wrapped some Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon round it before adding to my card base.

The GOOD TIMES stamp comes from the Happy Celebrations stamp set – don’t worry I didn’t cut up my stamp I just masked one word at a time to stamp it.  I used Basic Black ink on Whisper White card, cut using one of the Layering Circle framelits.  I mounted the stamped circle to a larger one cut from Basic Black card, using a larger scalloped framelit. I popped the sentiment up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick project today.  I’d love to read your comments so please leave them below.

Happy crafting,
