Valentine’s chocolate treat

img_0739Today I’m joining in with the Pootles Blog Hop for the first time – how exciting!

As the theme of today’s blog hop is Sale-A-Bration 2018 I thought I’d use the Bubbles & Fizz designer series paper again – it’s really fab to get 12 sheets of 12″ x 12″ gorgeous paper for free.

There are 12 designs in total in the pack and you get 2 of each double sided page.  I immediately picked out the Calypso Coral sheet with the hearts on it as a potential for a Valentines Day project.  And of course, Valentines is an extra excuse for chocolate so I came up with this…

It’s super quick and easy to make and you only need one piece of DSP measuring 8.25 x 4 inches so you could get 3 out of one sheet.  I bought a pack of 4 chocolate bars which would mean I’d get to eat the spare one, ha ha.

I scored the sheet on the short side at 1″, 1.75″, 2.75″ and 3.5″ along the full length.  I also added two other score lines at 1 ³⁄8ths and 3 ¹⁄8ths for approx 1 inch at the top and bottom to make it a bit easier to get the folds at each end.

I stapled one end and used my 1/8th punch at the other end to thread through some of the luxurious Gold ribbon from the annual catalogue.  My tag is made with Thick Whisper White card and the stamp is from the Sale-A-Bration set Happy Wishes, yet another freebie. I stamped in Versamark and used the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder to get this super shiny result…img_0736-1

I used the Classic Label punch to cut the tag, punched a hole and threaded it onto my ribbon before tying the bow.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. I’d love it if you’d leave a comment or subscribe so you get to see more of my creations.
