Hello, I hope you are well.
I made this pop up birthday card for my beloved aunt’s 70th birthday recently. I folds flat to fit into a 5″ x 7″ envelope but looks like this when you open it up…
I’ve used a combination of Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Purple Posy with a little bit of Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green for this card.
The flowers and leaves are all stamped with the Art Gallery stamp set and cut with the corresponding Floral Gallery dies. The numbers come from the Playful Alphabet dies and I used 2 designs from the Playing With Patterns designer series paper to cover the panels. The sentiment comes from Fancy Phrases and I used the Layering Circles to add this to the front drop down panel.
I added my flowers and numbers inside the card with strips of Window Sheet as you can see from this photo…
And there’s lots of room on the back to write a personal message too.
Want to see how to make this style of card? Then I suggest you do what I did and check out this video from my lovely friend Gez of Nigezza Creates…
You can also get Gez’s measurements from her blog post: https://www.nigezza.co.uk/2018/06/inspireink-blog-hop-exploding-18th.html
I hope you’ve enjoyed my version of Gez’s card. My aunt did! Those flowers really are pretty.
