A breath of fresh air – featuring Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes bundle

Hello, I hope you are well.

Today I’d like to share with you a card I made with the Garden Wishes stamps and Dandy Wishes dies…

This stamp and dies bundle is part of the Dandy Garden suite. Although I’ve played with the dragonflies part of this suite I must admit that I’ve not given the dandelions quite so much love. In fact, I think this is the first time I’ve used the stamp set, although I’ve used the dies previously.

I’ve also used plenty of the Dandy Garden designer series paper (DSP) already but I’ve heard some people say that they’re not keen on it as it’s a bit dark and dull. Hopefully today’s card with prove otherwise! How can any paper pack that has Bumblebee coloured papers in it be dull? There’s lots to love with this paper, especially the cute wee bees and stunning dragonflies!

I’ve used 3 different designs from the pack on my card. My card base is Whisper White Thick card (now replaced with Basic White in the supplies list) measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I added one piece of DSP measuring 14 x 4 cm and another measuring 14 x 6 cm to the card front.

I stamped the dandelion with Mossy Meadow ink and stamped the head of it with Bumblebee ink. I coloured the stem and leaves with a little Mossy Meadow ink mixed with Wink of Stella so that it really shimmers in the light…

I added some Wink of Stella to the head part too and then cut it with the coordinating Dandy Wishes die.

I stamped the beautiful sentiment with Mossy Meadow ink onto a scrap of Whisper White card, trimmed it to fit and backed it with another piece of the Dandy Garden DSP. I added a little bit of Bumblebee ribbon and Mossy Meadow trim to the card before adding the sentiment on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally I stamped those escaping seeds with Mossy Meadow ink straight onto the DSP. This fits so well with the sentiment doesn’t it?
