I know that a lot of people can be put off my outline stamps that look like they need to be coloured. Why not take a different approach with them and stamp them onto appropriately coloured card. I’ve used Smoky Slate card for the elephants from the set…
I just stamped with Memento ink onto the Smoky Slate card and cut around the outline with my paper snips.
You could do the same with the foxes but use Cajun Craze card. Maybe used Sahara Sand for the rabbits? And use black ink onto white card for the pandas.
I used Sponge Daubers with Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather inks to create the background on Whisper White card.
Did you spot the white baker’s twine I added? This comes from a new twin pack that will be available from 5 January 2021. It’s the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack – product code 154579.
I’ve also added some of the new Pastel Pearls to my card. These are also available from 5 January and their product code is 154571. The colours in this pack are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray.
My card base is Highland Heather card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I’ve also added strips of Balmy Blue and Highland Heather to the front, under the sentiment that was stamped with Highland Heather ink onto Whisper White card. I used the Banners Pick A Punch to cut the ends of these pieces. I also added a little bit of one of the Square Vellum doilies and then added my elephants with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Banner Pick A Punch is available to buy up until 4 January 2021, but it will also be available in the next Annual Catalogue from May 2021.
