Hello everyone.
Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop for December 2020 and as this is such a busy time of year we decided that instead of creating a new project, we would each feature our favourite creations from 2020.
If you’re in the UK you can’t have failed to notice that the world was filled with rainbows during the Spring and Summer; to thank the NHS and other Key Workers for all their efforts during the period of lockdown and beyond. Inspired by this I decided to make this rainbow wreath…
Not only has this wreath spread some cheer in the virtual world, here on my blog, in various Facebook craft groups and on Pinterest, but it has also done this in real life. I’ve had this displayed in a window that faces onto the street and I’ve often spotted passersby stopping and pointing it out to each other and smiling.
How could I have picked another other as my favourite from 2020?
I had a wicker wreath and decorated it with these colourful daisies. The colours I used are:
- Poppy Parade
- Pumpkin Pie
- Pineapple Punch (I would now use Daffodil Delight)
- Granny Apple Green
- Blueberry Bushel (I would now use Pacific Point)
- Gorgeous Grape
- Highland Heather
For each flower I used my Daisy Punch 3 times and my Medium Daisy Punch 3 times, glued all 6 pieces together. The 14 daisies were added to the wreath with my trusty hot glue gun.
I used the Leaf Punch that has sadly retired, with Shaded Spruce card to fill the gaps around the daisies. You could use any foliage dies you have or the Sprig Punch as an alternative.
Here’s a close up of the sentiment in the middle of the wreath…
This lovely big thank you stamp comes from the So Inviting stamp set and I used embossing powder that has since retired but you could ink your stamp with Versamark and then Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then add clear embossing powder to achieve a similar look.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my Best Of 2020 project and are ready to see what my talented team mates have done too. Please click on the blue box below to get the links to all the other blogs taking part in today’s hop…
I’ve listed the current products I’d use for this project below and you can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. The retired Poppy Parade ribbon I used is currently in the Clearance Rack at the bargain price of just £2.80 – while stocks last!
Thank you for visiting and Happy crafting,
Heather x
