As promised in yesterday’s blog, here’s a rather more feminine card using the World’s Best Trophy stamp set…
Instead of using the trophy I used the birthday cake. My card base is Powder Pink measuring 29 x 10.5 cm which was scored at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold. The next layer is Flirty Flamingo measuring 9 x 13 cm. My stamped images are on Very Vanilla card measuring 8.5 x 12.5 cm. I quite like the larger border of the base showing for a bit of a change.
The cake is a two step stamp, the outline was stamped in Powder Pink ink and the frosting is Flirty Flamingo, while the flames of the candle and the rays of light shining from them are in Daffodil Delight ink. The banner is Powder Pink ink and the rest of the words are all Flirty Flamingo ink. I fussy cut the banner and popped it up with dimensionals.
To add in a little bit of sparkle I used Wink of Stella on the cake frosting and the candle flames. It’s hard to photograph the shimmer so this is the best I could do, I hope you get the effect…
Although I chose to make this a card for a sister, it could just as easily be for a mum, mother, friend, aunt, niece, wife or daughter as all of these stamps are included in the World’s Best Trophy stamp set.
I’m sure you’ll agree that although I used the same stamp set these are 2 very different cards…
I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. I’d really love to hear your thoughts on these 2 cards and this very versatile stamp set.
