Hello everyone.
Today’s card was influenced by the amazing Jennifer McGuire Ink as I came across her video for Stacked Die Cutting (click here if you want to watch it too) and loved the look.
I used Stampin’ Up! Layering Squares dies to create my card…
Isn’t this a cool effect? I really like it!
I cut 4 pieces of card to measure 10 x 14 cm; one each of Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive and Garden Green. I selected 4 dies that I wanted to use and taped them together and cut the Garden Green piece. I then removed the larger die to cut the Old Olive piece and finally removed the next die to cut the Pear Pizzaz card. I glued these 3 layers together and onto the Soft Sea Foam one.
I used the Medium Daisy punch to cut 4 flowers from So Saffron card and layered them together. I added a Crushed Curry resin dot to the centre of the daisy; this comes from the Playing With Patterns resin dots pack. I placed my flower in the centre of the square aperture.
I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set with So Saffron ink onto Whisper White card, trimmed it to fit and backed it with some Soft Sea Foam card.
This was all added to a card base made from Whisper White card cut to 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm.
I then had quite a few squares left over and decided to add them to a Very Vanilla note card…
Because I used 4 dies instead of just the 3 I really needed for my first card it gave me smaller squares to play around with. I also die cut the word ‘thanks’ with the Well Written dies and Very Vanilla card two times and glued them together for a bit more dimension. Finally I added some Pearls to the note card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed both of these cards. I feel like I made one and got one free! Lol
