Fun Fold Friday – featuring Mosaic Mood DSP

22 May

Hello, I hope you are well.

I’m trying to do more fun fold cards and decided to do this one but I’m not sure what it’s called, so I’m calling it a 3 panel crossover card. Please do tell me if there’s a proper name for this style…

And here’s what it looks like when it’s opened…

I’ve used 2 different designs from the Mosaic Mood speciality designer series paper for this fun card, I hope you like it.

My card base is Mint Macaron card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored on the long side at 6.5 cm and 17 cm. I cut 3 pieces of Mint Macaron card to measure 3.5 x 9.5 cm for the crossover sections.

I cut 2 pieces of Mosaic Mood paper and glued these to the side sections of the card front; these measure 14 x 6 cm and 14 x 3.5 cm. I cut 2 pieces of the paper to each measure 3 x 9 cm for the crossover sections and glued them to the card pieces already cut.

I also cut a piece of Very Vanilla card to measure 3 x 9 cm and stamped the sentiment from the Band Together stamp set with Mint Macaron ink. This was added to the remaining piece of Mint Macaron card.

I added the three crossover sections. I placed them where I wanted them and then turned each one over in turn, added the glue so that it goes right to the edge of the card front but not over it, turned the piece back over and glued into place.

I then fussy cut 2 butterflies from another piece of the paper and added them to the middle crossover. I only glued down one side so they have some dimension…

I added a piece of Very Vanilla card measuring 10 x 14 cm to the inside and a final piece of the designer series paper measuring 1 x 10 cm along the bottom.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun fold. The Mosaic Mood Speciality designer series paper is retiring soon so get it while you can!

I’ve listed all of the product used for today’s card. You can click on any of the links to start your Stampin’ Up! shopping with me today. I’d love to be your independent demonstrator.

Please remember to use this month’s Host code to make sure you get the best value for your money – check out the Host code page in the main menu to find out more.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
