Hello everyone.
Today I have a little gift box to share with you…
The Seaside Spray card and designer series paper is a pretty good match for the colour of the tea light candle inside the box…
As you might have noticed this box also fits a little glass tea light holder from Ikea.
The box is made with Seaside Spray card measuring 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored on all four sides at 1-1/2″. The matchbox cover is the same card, measuring 2-1/8″ x 8-1/4″ (but 8″ would be fine too). I scored on the long side at 1-3/4″ and then wrapped it around the box, creasing the card at the edges and burnishing each one as I went, to get a nice fit. You don’t want it to be too tight so that it doesn’t slide off. You also don’t want it to fall off either.
I cut pieces of the Seaside Spray paper from the 2019-2021 In Colour 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack. For the top of the cover I cut a piece to measure 2″ x 1-7/8″ and for the edges the pieces need to be 2″ x 1-3/8 each.
I also cut 2 pieces for the sides of the drawer part of the matchbox and these measure 1-7/8″ x 1-3/8″ each.
I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Seaside Spray ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the 1″ circle punch. I cut Seaside Spray card with the 1-1/8 Scallop circle punch and Whisper White card with the 1-3/8″ Scallop circle punch then stacked the 3 together to add to the top of the box.
I then added 3 rhinestones for a little bit of bling.
The 3 punches I used are Last Chance Products and are only available while stocks last. So get them while you can.
