After sharing some technical and time-consuming cards with you in yesterday’s blog post, I thought I’d rebalance with a very simple one…
I am delighted that the Wildly Happy stamp set is staying around for another year as it makes an appearance in the next Annual Catalogue. I love the pairings of all the cute animals in this set and I really like the lovely sentiments too. As you’ll see, I’ve used 3 of the sentiments for this card front repeatedly stamped in Smoky Slate, Highland Heather and Blushing Bride inks onto Whisper White card.
This stamping is totally abstract, there’s no pattern to it, just stamp to your heart’s content! You can’t go wrong.
My card base is Whisper White card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I added a piece of Blushing Bride card that measures 10 x 14 cm and then my stamped piece that measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm.
I stamped the bunnies in Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White card cut to 6 cm square and backed it with Blushing Bride card measuring 6.5 cm square then glued them both to the card front. Nice and simple, all you need is 1 stamp set, 2 types of card, 3 inks and a paper trimmer. I’m sure this card would look great with lots of different colour combinations.
