Hello everyone.
Right across the world people are displaying rainbows in their homes to thank our key workers as they continue to help keep us safe, fed, able to communicate by phone, mail and online and most importantly healthy.
I’ve made a rainbow wreath for my window with daisies…
I had a wicker wreath and decorated it with these colourful daisies. The colours I used are:
- Poppy Parade
- Pumpkin Pie
- Pineapple Punch
- Granny Apple Green
- Blueberry Bushel
- Gorgeous Grape
- Highland Heather
For each flower I used my Daisy Punch 3 times and my Medium Daisy Punch 3 times, glued all 6 pieces together and added a Perennial Essence Floral Centre in the middle. The 14 daisies were added to the wreath with my trusty hot glue gun.
I used the Leaf Punch that is sadly retiring soon with Shaded Spruce card to fill the gaps around the daisies.
I added Poppy Parade ribbon between the Poppy Parade and Highland Heather daisies to hang the wreath.
I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the So Inviting stamp set with Versamark ink onto Whisper White card, added the awesome Shimmer Black Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I then cut this with a Stitched Rectangle die.
I also cut increasingly larger rectangles from from Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green and Blueberry Bushel card and glued them all together. I suspended this in the centre of the wreath using a retired library clip and some Crumb Cake twine from the Nature’s Twine pack.
I love this shimmer embossing powder as it looks like it has it’s own mini rainbow thing going on when the light hits it. This product is also on the Retiring Soon list.
After taking these photos I put the wreath in my window along with my dear old teddy bear Fred. Fred is there to be found by any of the kids in the area doing a Bear Hunt during their daily exercise – it’s such a cute idea, isn’t it?
Fred was my Dad’s bear and is now in his 80s and as you can probably tell he’s had a lot of love in his long life!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing today’s project, as much as I enjoyed making it. I have listed the products I used below but please be aware that as some are retiring soon they may not be available much longer.
You can click on any of the product links to start your online Stampin’ Up! shopping and I’d be delighted to be your independent demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather (& Fred) xx
