Yesterday was my lovely friend Fiona’s birthday and I just had to make her a card using her favourite colour purple…
It also gave me an excuse to use 2 new stamp sets that I bought in the recent Stampin’ Up! 24 hour sale; Around The Corner and Crackle Paint. I love a bargain.
I made a card base from Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then added a layer of Gorgeous Grape card measuring 10.5 x 14.5 cm to fully cover the front of the card.
I cut a piece of Whisper White card to 10 x 14 cm and stamped it with my Crackle Paint stamp using Gorgeous Grape ink. Before adding this to my card I coloured some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon with my Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker and wrapped it around the front securing the ends on the back.
I cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 9 x 9 cm and stamped it with stamps from the Around The Corner set with Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather inks. I masked one of the stamps to stamp a short string for each balloon.
I cut balloons from Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather card and Purple Posy designer series paper using my Balloon Bouquet punch. I glued the 2 card ones to the stamped layer and popped up the paper one with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a piece of Highland Heather card to 9.5 x 9.5 cm to add to the back of the stamped layer.
I also used the Around the Corner stamp set to add some detail to the inside of the card…
