Magnolia birthday card

Hello and thanks for joining me.

Today’s card uses this design provided by Ian Potter for this week’s sketch challenge in the Stampin For All Facebook group…

I chose to make a floral birthday card with the Magnolia Lane suite…

I covered my whole card front with some of the Magnolia Lane designer series paper and added another vertical piece.

I trimmed one of the small cards from the Magnolia Lane Cards & More pack and stamped it with Old Olive ink with the Happy Birthday and leaf stamps from the Magnolia Blooms set. Both of these products are shown in the Experience Creativity brochure aimed at beginner stampers.

My horizontal strips are from the Perennial Essence Vellum pack. I only glued these in the middle so the glue is covered by the stamped card panel. The final touch was to add some sequins in coordinating colours.

I really like this layout and all of these coordinating products make it easy to pull all of the elements together.
