Hello and thanks for joining me.
The lovely Patricia Smith of Smiths Crafty Creations has a weekly sketch challenge that runs until Friday 19 July 2019 with this design…
I noticed that I’ve done a few masculine cards for colour and sketch challenges recently so decided to move myself way out of that comfort zone. I’ve gone all fabulously floral this time and here’s my creation…
I used a card base made with Highland Heather card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm.
I cut a piece of Petal Pink card to measure 10 x 14 cm and embossed it with the Country Floral folder before adding it to my card base.
I then cut 2 piece of Highland Heather card to measure 8 x 5.5 cm and 8 x 4 cm. I also cut 2 pieces of the fabulous Perennial Essence designer series paper that measure 7.5 x 5 cm and 7.5 x 3.5 cm. I glued the dsp to the card and then added them to my card base, lining them up with the outside edges.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Highland Heather ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with a Rectangle Stitched die. I cut a larger rectangle from Petal Pink card and glued both together and then added them to the card base offset to the right.
I hope you like this flowery card. I’ve listed the products I used below and you can click on the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! shop if you wish to buy any of them.
Why not pop over to the ‘Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations’ Facebook group to join in with this challenge? Or even just check out the other cards using the same sketch? The more the merrier.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
