Hello and thanks for joining me.
If you’ve never made a card before but would like to start then why not pick one of the All-Inclusive card kits from Stampin’ Up! to get you up and running?
I recently bought myself the Looking Up Card Kit. Even as an experienced paper crafter there are times when you just want to make up a kit instead of having to get overly creative all by yourself. I made this one up while sitting with my husband watching a baseball game on TV…
This kit provides you with everything you need to make 15 cards, 3 of each of these 5 designs. I genuinely did not have to use anything from my craft room, except my Stampin’ Scrub to clean the stamps up afterwards. You could just run the stamps under a tap though if you prefer. The Simply Shammy is a great alternative for cleaning your stamps too – just add water – you can see this in action in the video below.
There are clear instructions provided in the box and Stampin’ Up! even have a short video to help you out too…
You might notice that my examples are slightly different from those in the video as I used some of the die cuts provided in the kit to add some extra dimension and I also used the birds stamp from the kit on the skyscraper one.
Once you’ve made up this kit you still have the stamp set, an acrylic block and a Bermuda Bay ink spot to play with. You might also have some extra dimensionals and glue dots left over too, depending on how many of the die cuts you decide to use, or not.
The stamp set alone is a great addition to your craft room as it covers Congratulations, Get Well, Happy Birthday, Thanks and Thankful for you sentiments.
You can stick to the instructions or you could mix up the sentiments etc if you are feeling a little bit more creative – it’s up to you.
Now don’t forget to actually send the cards once you’ve made them #makeacardsendacard. One of mine is already in the post.
These kits are fun and easy to follow but if you have any questions on them please just let me know.
I’ve listed the products mentioned in this post below. You can click on any of the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store to purchase them if you’d like.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
