Velvet Meadow big lidded box – video

26 Apr

Hello! I hope you are well. I bought a friend a gift and wanted to make a box for it. And I used that as an excuse to play with a brand new pack of Designer Series Paper from the May to August 2026 Stampin’ Up! catalogue. Here’s my Velvet Meadow big lidded box…

I worked out that to fit the gift inside, my box needed to measure 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ x 3-1/2″

So I then calculated that I’d need rather a lot of card to make it and had to join two pieces together to make the base. You can get the measurements below and you’ll see how I joined them in today’s video.

And I can confirm that the gift wrapped in tissue paper fits neatly inside…

The inside of the box wasn’t as neat as I wanted, so I added some Daffodil Delight card to the inside to cover it. I love the contrast of the Berry Burst and Daffodil Delight, don’t you?

To see how to make this Velvet Big Lidded Box please check out today’s video.
