Party Banners concertina card in a box – video

Hello! I hope you are well. Yesterday was my much loved niece’s eighteenth birthday. I made a concertina card in a box for her brother’s eighteenth so I had set a precedent that I had to live up to! So I created a Party Banners concertina card in box for her. Here’s the box…

My colour scheme throughout is Strawberry Slush and White so the lid and base are in each of these colours…

And when you lift the lid the concertina is revealed, along with little messages on the inside of the lid and base…

It was so difficult to show the whole card in just one photo, so here’s a group of them instead…

I used a rather large selection of current, last chance and coming soon products for this labour of love. I share all of them with you in today’s video.

This whole project took me quite some time to put together so I don’t have a video of all of that. Instead, I show you the card and products used and then let you see how I made the concertina and box. I hope you’ll check out today’s video!

MEASUREMENTS

To make the Party Banners concertina card in a box in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies

• Crumb Cake card measuring 6-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ for the box base
  • score on all four sides at 1″
• Mossy Meadow card measuring 6-1/16″ x 5-1/16″ for the box lid
  • score on all four sides at 3/4″
• Very Vanilla card to die cut all of your Party Banner pieces for the concertina
• Very Vanilla card measuring 1-1/2″ x 3″, scored on the short side at 3/4″, for all your “hinges”
• Brushed With Beauty designer series paper to die cut with the smaller Party Banner die, for the front and back of each panel (except the ones you’ll glue to the lid and base of the box)
• Layers for the lid:
  • Crumb Cake = 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
  • Very Vanilla = 3″ x 4″
  • Brushed With Beauty DSP = 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″

You will then need to decide on your decorations for each panel in your concertina box – that’s the fun part!

The assembled box measures, 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ x 1″
