ABOUT MY CARD
Whenever a colour challenge includes Crumb Cake my mind instantly thinks of creating a vintage vibe. And Shaded Spruce and Blackberry Bliss are a great combination for leaves and flowers. So, I used that as an excuse to play with the Pretty Florals stamps and dies bundle again. The Perennial Postage dies make interesting layers so easy.
My card base is Crumb Cake card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a little bit of Crumb Cake ink to this and stamped in each corner with one of the detail stamps from Pretty Florals. My Shared Spruce layer needed some stamping too, but I didn’t think the Pretty Florals stamps were quite right for this. So I brought in Natural Botanicals instead and stamped the 2 largest leaves with Shaded Spruce ink. Again, I added a little bit of Shaded Spruce ink with a blending brush, especially around the edges.
The main focus is that spray of Blackberry Bliss flowers. The Pretty Florals stamp set is a two step stamping set, one for the background and another for the details. I die cut the 3 flowers and the leafy stem then arranged them onto the Basic White Perennial Postage die cut that I stamped with another details stamp in Crumb Cake ink. This was backed with a larger die cut from Crumb Cake card that I inked the edges. Then I added some linen thread around this topper element and popped it onto my card with dimensionals…

To give even more of a vintage vibe I added a fine splatter of Crumb Cake all over using my Stampin’ Blend.
The final touches were to add a tiny sentiment (the sorry is from Encircled With Love) and a stamped insert…

The leaves are also from Natural Botanicals and of course I had to add some blended Crumb Cake ink.
