ABOUT MY CARD

First of all I stamped the gorgeous big floral image from Layers of Beauty with Night of Navy ink onto Basic White card. Then I used the Layers of Beauty decorative masks to add Berry Burst and Garden Green inks to the image with my blending brushes. I love how easy this is as the masks all line up perfectly with the stamped image. Finally, I die cut the image with the coordinating die. Isn’t it wonderful how it all works together?

For my card background I used stamps from Elements of Text with Night of Navy ink, some full strength but mostly “stamped off” onto a piece of scrap paper first. This gives a much softer tone, so as not to distract too much from the main focal point. I also lightly blended some Night of Navy ink around this piece too.

Finally, I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Simply Said stamp set with Garden Green ink onto Basic White card and trimmed it to fit. This is the only element that I raised up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I thought it needed a little bit of bling and added some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I really like the end result and I hope you do too.
