ABOUT MY CARD

I really liked the cooler tones of this week’s colour challenge combination and with 2 greens I just had to grab a stamp set with leaves! Textured Notes was my stamp of choice, mainly because I genuinely love the textured effect you get with these stunning stamps.

I stamped the basket weave image with Basic Gray ink on Basic White card then fussy cut it. It amazes me just how many tones you can get using just one colour on this stamp! And because it’s not a crisp clear outlined stamp, fussy cutting is really easy too.

I used the other 2 challenge colours to stamp the leaves and some dots and splatters, using stamps from Elements Of Text. I added some text using stamps from that same set with Basic Gray ink and some Soft Sea Foam too.

My sentiment is from Textured Notes but I chopped it into 3 pieces and discarded the word “seriously” because I just didn’t feel that’s something I would actually say, but “You are the best” definitely is…

My stamped piece was backed with Basic Gray card and added to a Basic White Thick card base. And of course I felt the need to add a little bit of stamping to the inside too…

I really like the end result and I hope you do too.
