Hello and thanks for joining me.
I realised the other day that I was a bit short of birthday cards and especially ones that could be sent to males so I dug out my Happy Birthday Thinlits die and card in 4 different shades of blue to create this card…
The card base is my normal Whisper White measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold card. I then added layers of Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, Pacific Point, Balmy Blue and Whisper White, reducing each dimension by 0.5 cm each time.
I also cut strips of each card that were 3/4 inch wide and glued them to a piece of white paper and also added some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back before running it through my Big Shot with my die.
When you use the adhesive sheet it essentially creates a sticker for you to simply add to your card.
As the front of the card has so many layers I also added a layer of Whisper White Thick card to the inside to balance it out a bit. You would n’t want the card to keep falling forward would you?
I reckon this method would work well with lots of different colour combinations, which combination would you try?
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed the products used below. You can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
