ABOUT MY CARD

I had a stray black and white flower from the Fully Flowering Ephemera pack sitting at the side of my desk. So I thought I’d use this week’s colours to jazz it up. I used Shy Shamrock and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. As we don’t have Gorgeous Grape blends I had to use my Stampin’ Write marker instead.

I used some Daffodil Delight ink with a blending brush to tone down the white background of the ephemera piece. I did the same to my Hello sentiment piece. This stamp is from Everyday Greetings and I used Gorgeous Grape ink.

The background piece is Basic White card that I embossed with the Cute Crochet 3D folder. Before I added the card to the embossing folder I added Daffodil Delight ink to the side of the folder that has the Stampin’ Up! logo, using my brayer. This means that the lower parts of the pattern are yellow but the raised bits are still white. I backed this piece with some Gorgeous Grape card and added it to my card base.

The final touch was to add some more Shy Shamrock with resin dots.
