Leaf Collection card – CCC156

31 Aug

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I’d like to show you my entry for this week’s Creative Colour Challenges. I’ve used this week’s colours for this Leaf Collection card…

THE CHALLENGE

So you can join in, these are the colours for this week’s challenge over at www.creativecolourchallenges.blogspot.com

Please CLICK HERE to find out more about this challenge and to join in the fun with this week’s 3 colours.

ABOUT MY CARD

I wanted to use this week’s 3 colours for a triptych style of card and the Leaf Collection background stamp seemed like the perfect choice. To make sure the design flows across the card I actually stamped 3 full pieces of Basic White card measuring 9.5 x 13 cm. I used a stamping platform to make sure that when I stamped each colour on the white card they were stamped in the same position. Then I stacked the 3 pieces of card in my paper trimmer and cut the long side to 4.25 cm, three times. This leaves just a tiny excess piece that you can discard.

This also means that I have enough stamped pieces to make 2 more cards.

I adhered the 3 stamped panels to a piece of Basic White card measuring 10 x 14 cm and then embossed it all with the Fern 3D folder.

The Just A Note stamp is from Simply Said. I used Lost Lagoon ink and used a die from Unbounded Love to cut it. I also used the same die to cut the frame from Crumb Cake card.

Before adding the panel to my Crumb Cake card base (21 x 14.5cm, scored on the long side at 10.5 cm) I added ribbon and tied it in a bow. Then I added the sentiment piece with dimensionals…

.

Finally, I added a rhinestones. I like the end result and hope you do too.

Remember, you can take part in this colour challenge too. Just click here to find out more. You don’t need to have a blog to enter, you can just upload a photo of your project using this week’s colours.

Beautiful card Heather – the triptych design is a great way to show the three colours boldly. the embossing is subtle but adds such a fab effect. Thanks for joining in with Creative colour challenges
