Fold Flat box card with a pop up sentiment

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I’d like to show you the fold flat box card with a pop up sentiment I made a few weeks back for my best friend’s birthday. Here’s how it looked when folded flat…

And here’s how it looks when you open it and from the back…

To make the fold flat box card I followed a tutorial from Mitosu Crafts but I wanted an extra surprise element and so decided to add the pop up sentiment inside.

I have been meaning to make another one ever since and finally got around to it today. So I recorded a video making this one, so you can see how to add the pop up sentiment…

MEASUREMENTS

To make the fold flat box card with pop up sentiment I made in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies

• Pretty In Pink card measuring 8-1/4″ x 10″
  • score on the long side at 2″, 3-1/2″, 6-1/2″ & 8″
  • score on the short side at 1-1/2″ from each end
  • make a mark on the long side at 5″ (top and bottom) to add diagonal score lines later
• 2024-2026 In Color designer series paper as follows
  • 2 pieces that measure 1-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ for the 2 side panels
  • 1 piece that measures 2-3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
• Basic White card as follows
  • 2 pieces that measure 1-3/4″ x 5″ to mat the DSP side panels
  • 1 piece that measures 2-3/4″ x 5″ for the back
  • pieces large enough to die cut the sentiment label and decorations
• Pretty In Pink card that measures 3/4″ x 5″ for the pop up mechanism
  • score the long side at 1-1/2″, 2-1/4″, 3-3/4″ & 4-1/2″
• Ribbon
• Embellishments
