Today I’m taking part in the Touches of Ink blog hop so you may have joined me from Sandra Nitschke’s blog. We are all using our choice of bundle or suite from the current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. I’ve used Zoo Crew to make this lidded gift box…
I love this cute and fun product suite and have used the stamps, dies, designer series paper and even the ribbon from the suite for this cute box. The lid is made with Pool Party card that I stamped around the edges with Pool Party ink. The base is Basic Black…
I really like that contrast, don’t you? The lid has a layer of Basic Black card and the some of the Zoo Crew DSP. I added some ribbon and then a topper featuring that cute singing tortoise. I also stamped some tissue paper to wrap the gift inside…
And the gift inside is this cute note book and coaster set. Now you see why I simply had to use the Zoo Crew suite!
Now it’s time to hop along to see what the lovely Sabine Leclerc has created for this month’s blog hop.
Or you can use this list of everyone taking part, to check them all out:

measurements
The finished box measures 4-1/2″ x 6-1/4″ x 1″
To make this Zoo Crew lidded box you’ll need the following supplies:
- Basic Black card for the base measuring 6-1/2″ x 8-1/4″
- score at 1″ on all 4 sides
- Pool Party card for the lid measuring 6-1/16″ x 7-13/16″
- score at 3/4″ on all 4 sides
- Basic Black card for the lid measuring 4-3/8″ x 5-7/8″
- Zoo Crew DSP measuring 4″ x 5-3/4″
- Basic White card for stamping and die cutting the tortoise
- Basic White card measuring 2-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ for the topper
- scraps of card to die cut the small balloons
- ribbon and embellishements
I didn’t want to chop into a full sheet of Lemon Lime Twist card to die cut 2 tiny balloons to add to my box decorations. So instead, I coloured white card and die cut them from that instead – it’s a good trick if you don’t have the right colour of card…
