Hello and thanks for joining me.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been well enough to craft recently so I’m sorry for the shortage of blog posts lately. Here’s a card I made earlier this month as a commission. I’m pretty sure it’s been delivered by now so I should be safe to share!
The recipients of the card have just added a fur baby to their household so will really need to try to keep calm while he wags on and does what all puppies do! lol
I used my usual card card of 29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm. I added a panel of Pool Party card measuring 14 x 10 cm.
I cut a piece of Subtles Designer Series Paper in Pool party to measure 13.5 x 9.5 cm. Before adding this to the card base I coloured some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon with my Pool Party Dark Stampin’ Blend. This is a neat trick to make sure you can coordinate your ribbon easily. I also stamped the sentiment from the Happy Tails stamp set straight onto the DSP in Crumb Cake ink with a couple of muddy paw prints. I glued the ends of the ribbon to the back of the paper and then added it to the card base.
I stamped the cute little doggo in Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake card and cut it with my Dog Builder Punch. I used Layering Circles Framelits dies to cut 1 circle from Pool Party card and 1 from Whisper White card.
I stamped the dog house using Crumb Cake ink onto the Whisper White card. This is a 2 layer stamp so I used my Stamparatus to make it easier to line up. The little heart comes from the Dog Builder Punch using Pool Party card. Then I stamped the little bone in Smoky Slate ink.
My final touch was to give the dog a little bow made with Linen Thread doubled up and added with a glue dot.
I added the circles straight onto the card base but added the dog with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it a bit more height and keep it the main focus…
I absolutely love the Happy Tails stamp set and the Dog Builder Punch. If you buy both of them as a bundle you save 10% on the cost of buying them separately. So cute!!
The cost of the bundle is £29.50 so if you added in a pack of designer series paper (£10.25) and a pack of note cards & envelopes (£6) your total would be £45.75 and you’d earn a FREE product during Sale-A-Bration! That sounds like a good excuse for shopping to me. These are the products you could choose from if you order before 31st March 2019 (while stocks last)…
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed all of the products I used below so you can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. If you have any comments or questions please get in touch by leaving a comment or using the Contact Me form. I’d love to hear from you.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
