Hello and thanks for joining me today.
I gifted a stamp set to a friend recently and made this box for it…
This box would also be ideal to gift a DVD box instead of a stamp set.
I used a piece to of Tranquil Textures designer series paper that measures 10 & 3/4 inches square. I used my envelope punch board and punched and scored at 4 & 1/8th and then 4 & 7/8ths inches. Two little snips along the score lines of the tiny tabs means that you can fold it into an envelope shape.
I put the stamp box inside when I glued the envelope together. This makes it easier to get your corners squared.
I added a belly band from the leftover paper, just the reverse side. That’s one of the best things about these fabulous double sided papers, they coordinate perfectly. The band only just met round the box so I reinforced the join with an extra scrap of paper under the join. I then added some silver metallic edge ribbon tied in a bow.
To add a bit more detail to the front I added a panel of Tranquil Tide card that I cut with one of the Delicate Lace Edgelits dies along 2 edges and then glued to the underside of the belly band.
I cut a gift tag from Soft Sea Foam card with the Tailored Tag punch, punched a hole for some twine with my 1/8th inch handheld punch. I stamped the sentiment from the Botanical Bliss stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink.
I had an extra little gift so I made a coordinating envelope punch board gift for that too.
I found making the box for the stamp set was so much easier that wrapping it would have been!
