While I was using the Happiness Blooms suite for yesterday’s lip balm box I thought it would be nice to make a coordinating card. So here it is…
I have used Night of Navy card as my base. This measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then trimmed down one of the large speciality Happiness Blooms Memories & More cards but didn’t want it to be a full layer so cut it to 8.5 x 14 cm. I chose a coordinating small card from the same Memories & More pack and backed this with Night of Navy card. Before attaching this to my card I added the Thanks stamp from A Big Thank You in Night of Navy ink and Calypso Coral satin ribbon with a bow.
I love the super glossy look of the speciality Memories & More card with the shiny satin ribbon, don’t you?
You’ll see that I cheated and tied my ribbon separately and then added it to the ribbon on the card with glue dots. I’m rubbish at tying nice bows and this cheat gives me the best results I can hope for. Lol.
As Night of Navy card is difficult to write on I added a panel of Whisper White card on the inside and added a few flowers and dots from the Bloom By Bloom stamp set. I used Grapefruit Grove ink as I’ve got Calypso Coral ink on order. As it’s inside the card I think I can get away with it – unless the recipient reads this blog!
