Hello!
In my last 2 blogs I’ve shown you simple cards using the amazing Santa’s Workshop speciality designer series paper. Today I’ve got some more for you that required a bit more equipment…
This one shows how you can use framelits or a large punch to cut out one of the images from the paper as a focal point for your card. I used the large oval from the Stitched Shapes framelit dies to cut out Santa and the elves.
My card base is Whisper White measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added some Poppy Parade card measuring 10 x 14 cm and then the elves paper cut to 13.5 x 9.5 cm. I then added a narrow strip of the dotty paper and finally my oval feature and a few enamel shapes.
Next I used a punch to step up this card instead of framelits
The designer series paper is still the main focus on this card and I just added a strip of one of the other patterns from the pack as a contrast and a punched sentiment. The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Noel stamp set and is in Garden Green ink on Whisper White card. I used the Pretty Label Punch to cut it out. I used the punch on Garden Green card too then cut it in half horizontally then glued each half to the back of my sentiment so a small edge shows.
Although these cards use dies and punches they’re still quite easy to make and look really cute!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little series of cards using the Santa’s Workshop speciality designer series paper. I’ve enjoyed making them and might do more later.
I’ve listed the products used in both cards below. You can visit my online Stampin’ Up! store by clicking on any of the products. I’d be delighted if you shop with me.
Happy crafting,
