3D Star Pop Up Card and matching gift box

Hello, I hope you are well.

I’ve been wanting to make a 3D Star Pop Up Card ever since I saw the ones that Karen Egan of www.craftykarendesigns.blogspot.com created a few months ago. My best friend’s birthday gave me the perfect occasion to make one and as she likes blues I thought I’d use the new Countryside Inn designer series paper to decorate it…

For my card base I used 3 pieces of Night Of Navy card and 3 pieces of Balmy Blue. Instead of the silver foil that Karen used, I opted for Night Of Navy and Balmy Blue. I also changed the hearts to circles for my version and made an extra set for a handwritten sentiment on the back.

Such a special card deserved a special gift box and here it is…

To make this box you’ll need the following supplies:

• Balmy Blue card for the base measuring 6-3/4″ x 8-3/4″ – scored on each side at 3/4″
• Night of Navy card for the lid measuring 6-13/16″ x 8-13/16″ (ie 1/16″ larger than the base) – scored on each side at 3/4″
• Balmy Blue card to add onto the lid measuring 5″ x 7″
• Countryside Inn DSP measuring 4-3/4″ x 6-3/4″
• Basic White card to stamp and punch the sentiment circle
• Night of Navy card to die cut the larger circle
• ribbons

The finished gift box measures 5-1/4″ x 7-1/4″ x 3/4″
