Hello, I hope you are well.
These are the colours for the latest challenge over at www.creativecolourchallenges.blogspot.com
Please CLICK HERE to find out more about this challenge and to join in the fun with this week’s 3 colours.
I haven’t used the Stampin’ Blends and alcohol on vellum technique for a while and thought these colours would be fun to do this with! Here’s the resulting card, what do you think?
I scribbled each of the 3 colours onto a piece of vellum and initially put some large drops of Isopropanol 99% alcohol onto it. I love watching how this moves the colour around.
I dried it with my heat tool, added more colour with my Stampin’ Blends and then added smaller splashes of alcohol on it and that gave me the smaller dots on the vellum.
To add in the silver heat embossing I squeezed a drop of Versamark ink refill onto a clear block then picked it up with a small paint brush and traced the lines between the colour sections. I then added my embossing powder and heat set it.
To add this to my card I used Self Adhesive sheet on the back of the vellum to add it to a piece of Basic White card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm. I backed this with Balmy Blue card measuring 10 x 14 cm and put it on my usual Basic White Thick card base (21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5cm)
I then added a white die cut using a Forever Flourishing die (retiring soon!!) and stamped my sentiment from Cottage Rose (retiring soon!!) with Balmy Blue ink onto Basic White card and cut this with the smaller part of the Double Oval Punch. I used the larger part of the same punch with Petal Pink card, glued the 2 pieces together and added them to the card with dimensionals. The final touch was some pink and blue Solid Faceted Gems…
I hope you like what I created with this week’s colours. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
