Hello, I hope you are well.
I had an idea in my head about blending green inks as a background and spritzing it with water to see what cool effects it might show. So I recorded my process of making this card…
I’d love you to click on the image below to check it out…

As you’ll see from the video I blending 4 green inks onto a piece of Basic White Thick card, that withstands the water a bit better than regular Basic White card, using blending brushes. I made sure I had plenty of ink on the card layer so there was enough to react when I spritzed it with water. A fine mist helps blur the lines of the ink colours and give a subtle mottled effect. Larger drops of water will lift off more of the colour and give a great effect too, so you just can’t go wrong!
I stamped the flowers and butterflies from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set with Versamark ink, added black embossing powder and heat set it. I do love the shine from heat embossing!!
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto Basic Black card, added white embossing powder and heat set that too. I simply trimmed my black card with my paper snips but you could die cut this or take your time and use your paper trimmer to get a neater sentiment label.
To add some shimmer and shine I splashed the card with Wink Of Stella and added some Festive Pearls.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will try it out too.
