Hello.
Today’s project started weeks ago when I picked up a Fiskbo frame in Ikea, thinking I could do something creative with it. Well, it’s sat on the side of my desk for too long so the time was right to use it and here’s what I made…
As the frame is 10 x 15 cm you could pretty much design any card front and put it into the frame to create a lovely piece of home decor. And as the frame only costs 85 pence it’s a very cheap way to make your home lovely and festive!
I cut a piece of the super shiny Joyous Noel glimmer paper in Merry Merlot to measure 10 x 15 cm as my background.
I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Noel stamp set in versamark onto Whisper White card and added Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder before heat setting it. I used one of the ovals from Stitched Shapes to cut it out.
I then cut a piece of Whisper White card measuring 12.5 x 7.5 cm ready for stamping.
I selected the smaller oval from Stitched Shapes than the one I’d used to cut out the sentiment and placed this in the middle of my Whisper White card. I drew round the outside of it in pencil and used this as a guide for my stamping.
All of the stamps I used are from Peaceful Noel and I only used Tranquil Tide and Merry Merlot ink pads.
I also used my Sprig punch to cut 3 sprigs from the Tranquil Tide glimmer paper, but I cut each one in half to give me 6 individual sprigs.
Once I’d finished the stamping and added the sprigs I wrapped some of the gorgeous Merry Merlot & Copper reversible ribbon around my card. The sentiment was added on top of the ribbon using Tear & Tape adhesive.
Finally the stamped card was added to the Merry Merlot glimmer paper and then placed into the frame.
It was difficult to show you all the shine and glimmer without getting reflections but I hope this photograph gives you the idea.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed all of the products used (except the frame!) below and you can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
The Peaceful Noel stamp set and the Sprig punch are available to purchase as a bundle which means that you’d save 10% on the cost of buying them separately.
If you have any comments or questions please just get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
