Hello. Today’s project is an altered notebook.
When I set out to make a plain notebook look a bit special I seem to pick out pretty feminine papers to use and add some flowers and a bit of bling. So today’s one is very different from my normal makes.
I used an A6 Kraft notebook that I picked up in a bargain store. It had sticky labels on the front and back and when I peeled them off there was a definite mark where they’d been, so I knew both sides would need covered.
This time I opted for some Wood Textures designer series paper. This pack of 6 x 6 inch paper has an amazing array of 24 different designed. There are 4 of each of the 12 double sided designs, giving you 48 sheets in total.
I cut 2 pieces measuring 5 & 7/8ths by 3 & 7/8ths inches.
I stamped the 3 pens from the Crafting Forever stamp set onto the front piece and in Jet Black Stazon ink. I used the same ink with the Labeler Alphabet stamp set to stamp Take Note, directly onto the designer series paper.
I then added the second piece of DSP to the back but because of the elastic strap I had to cut out 2 sections and then added a further piece that measures 1/2 inch by 5 & 7/8ths inches
This was such a quick and easy project but I hope you’ll agree that it has made a big difference to this small plain notebook.
