How to make a ‘spotlight’ card with Petal Park bundle

Hello, I hope you are well.

Today I’ve got a YouTube tutorial to share with you using the Petal Park stamp set and coordinating punch to create this card with the spotlight technique…

Petal Park is a two step stamp set, where you stamp an outline image and then you can use another stamp to add in the colour. I’ve only added the colour to the spotlight hexagon area for this card.

I’d love for you to click on the image below to watch my video tutorial to see how to achieve this look…

Or you can watch the video by CLICKING HERE

Here’s a couple more photos of my first card…

And here’s the card I made in the video…

To make this card you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Melon Mambo card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm
  • Basic Black card measuring 10 x 14 cm
  • Basic White card measuring 9 x 13 cm for stamping
  • Basic White card measuring 10 x 14 cm for the inside
  • Scraps of Basic White card to stamp and punch the flowers and single leaves
  • Ribbon and embellishments

I’ve deliberately not added a sentiment so these cards can be used for any occasion. I liked these so much that I carried on and made these 2 other versions with Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grape…

I used my Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Write marker to colour the ribbon as we don’t have Stampin’ Blends in that colour. It works just as well but takes a bit longer to dry.

I’ll have a tutorial for a gift box to fit these 4 cards and their envelopes sometime soon so I hope you’ll keep an eye out for that.

Shop the products

I’ve listed the products I used for this card below. You can click on any of the links in the Product List to visit that item in my online Stampin’ Up! store. The Petal Park stamp and the Petal Park builder punch can be purchased separately but you’ll save 10% if you buy them as a bundle. I’ve shown both options in my Product List below.

As I’ve used various colours from the Brights collection for my card bases I’ve shown the combination pack of card below as this is a great way to build your stash of card colours.

Remember, you’ll earn a free, exclusive Sale-A-Bration product with every £45 you spend in my online store up to 28 February 2023…

When you shop with me you’ll receive a handmade card and gift as a token of my appreciation. If your order is under £150 please use the current Host Code so that I can add in a free product to your customer thank you pack for the month. Find out more on the Host Code page in the main menu.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
