Hello.
Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Botanical Tags Thinlits dies are beautiful and I’ve seen quite a lot of examples of the tags being the main event on cards and really like them, so here’s my version…
I decided to stick with Neutral colours so started with a card base from Crumb Cake card, measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold. I then added a layer of Whisper White card measuring 14 x 10 cm, followed by a layer of Tranquil Textures designer series paper measuring 13.5 x 9.5 cm.
I used the bird die from Botanical Tags to cut out the main feature from Whisper White card. It now measures 5 x 12 cm but I started with a bigger piece and trimmed it down. I used stamps from Botanical Bliss stamp set for the leaves and the sentiment, plus the extra flowers on the sentiment circle. All the stamping is in Crumb Cake ink.
I cut the sentiment using the smallest circle from Stitched Shapes and then used the next size up with Crumb Cake card. I also cut 2 branches from Crumb Cake card with another die from Botanical Tags.
The sentiment was added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My final touch was to add a few strands of Linen Thread tied in a bow.
If you buy both the Botanical Bliss stamp set and the Botanical Tags Thinlits dies at the same time, as a bundle, you save 10% on the cost of buying them separately. Sounds like a good plan to me!
