Hello. I hope you are all well today.
Today’s card is a very quick make, simply because time is tight sometimes, but if you’re like me, we still want to be creative. October 10th is World Mental Health Day and I don’t mind telling you that papercrafting is my therapy against the stresses and strains of daily life. It helps me to unwind and it’s great to produce something pretty, especially if I’m having a bad day.
So, on World Mental Health Day please be kind to your mind! Do what makes you happy. And if that’s making a card, like me, then please make someone else’s day by sending it to them. This one is going out in the post to someone today…
We shouldn’t wait until it’s someone’s birthday to celebrate them, we can do it at anytime, why not today?
My card base is my usual 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm to create a landscape tent fold card.
I added a piece of Garden Impressions designer series paper measuring 9.5 x 14.5 cm and then another piece measuring 7 x 14.5 cm. I love that this pack has both beautiful floral paper and gorgeous texture images that coordinate so well.
I then stamped the sentiment Here’s to Celebrating you! from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White card and added a few flowers from the same set in Soft Sea Foam, Powder Pink and Melon Mambo. I just the sentiment using my 2 inch circle punch. I also cut a piece of Night of Navy card with my Starburst punch to add to the back of my sentiment. This was then added to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I just had to add a bit of sparkle with 3 rhinestones in the bottom right corner of the first DSP layer.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and that you are being kind to your mind today.
I’ve listed the products used in today’s card below and you can click on them at anytime to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
