Inspire.Create.Challenges 129 – Festive Theme Challenge featuring Celebrate With Tags

Hello.

There’s a brand new challenge over at Inspire.Create.Challenges and this time it’s a theme challenge…

I decided that I wanted to make a vibrant Christmas card so I reached for my Polished Pink ink and card along with the Celebrate With Tags bundle and here’s the result…

My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. My Polished Pink layer is 10 x 14 cm and to make sure you could see plenty of it my Basic White layer is 8.5 x 12.5 cm.

I cut lots of the gorgeous snowflakes from the Celebrations Tags dies using up lots of my Basic White scraps. I then glued them to the Basic White layer.

I stamped the mittens with Polished Pink ink and cut them with the corresponding dies. To embellish them I wanted to add some ribbon but my Polished Pink ribbon was too wide. So I cut off the edges from a length of the ribbon and wound them round the tops of the mittens and also between them to create the loop you see…

The Merry Christmas stamp from the Celebrate With Tags set was too big for this card so I used the one from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set instead. My final touch was to add a few of the Iridescent Pearls to the mittens in place of the buttons and a few more to the card base too.
