InspireINK Blog Hop September Sketch Challenge

InspireINK HeaderHello!  Thanks for joining me for September’s InspireINK blog hop.  I hope that once you’ve read my blog you’ll hop along to the next one by clicking on the link below.  I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has come up with, and I hope you are too.

This month’s challenge was set by Hannah McCurley of www.stampinbyhannah.co.uk who chose this sketch layout for us all to follow…

I was working on Christmas class projects the same day as I created this card and decided to take a break from Christmas with a Birthday card…

My card base measures 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold.  I added a Gold Foil layer that measures 14 x 10 cm.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card measuring 13 x 9 cm and embossed this with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions folder.  I spritzed my card with water before embossing to prevent the card creasing as this is such a super thick folder and give such deep impressions.

I cut a piece of Broadway Bound speciality designer series paper measuring 8 x 6 cm. I love all of the shiny gold foil designs in this pack and a little goes a long way!

My Basic Black strip measures 9 x 2 cm and I added this to my card using adhesive strips.  The star clip comes from the All Is Bright paper clips set in the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and I used Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder on Whisper White card.  I used my Layering Circles framelits to cut this out along with the Gold Foil circle too.

The bottom part of the circles was glued to the Basic Black strip and the top part was adhered with double stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touches of bling were some Metallic Pearls and Metallics Sequins.  I used my Take Your Pick tool to add these, so easy!  I love this tool.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project, it’s now time for you to hop on over to my talented friend Janice’s blog by clicking the link below…

Until next time, happy crafting!
