Hello, I hope you are well.
Today I want to share with you a card that I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge number 484, but first here’s the layout provided…

Here’s my interpretation on this sketch…
I made my usual tent fold card base and stamped it with the foliage stamp from Tasteful Touches using Smoky Slate ink that I stamped off onto a scrap of paper before stamping on my card base. I used the largest of the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut a piece of Basic White card and added this to my base.
I stamped the feather with Smoky Slate ink and fussy cut it (with the help of my Scan n Cut, my fussy cutting is not that good!) and used my Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write marker to only add ink to the ‘hello’ part of the ‘Just saying hello’ stamp from the same set. I cut the sentiment with another Stitched Rectangle die but had to do it twice to shorten the shape.
I cut a piece of Window Sheet to measure 5 x 5 cm and embossed it with one of the Greenery embossing folders at a jaunty angle. I added my feather and sentiment to the embossed window sheet with Tear & Tape and then added more tape to the back of the window sheet in line with these pieces. This is the easiest way to make sure your adhesives don’t show on the window sheet.
My final touch was to add a bow with the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon and a few of the silver coloured pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack.
I really like the look of the embossed window sheet when the light hits it…
It adds some extra texture and depth but still keeps the overall clean look of the card.
