Hello everyone!
I’m back from a fabulous holiday in Montreal where we went to the Canadian Grand Prix for a bit of adrenaline, the Basilique Notre-Dame for culture and walked around 125 miles in 2 weeks around the streets, along the port and canal and up Mont Royal for amazing views.
As much as I loved being away, I’m delighted to be home and in my craft room. My order from the new catalogue arrived shortly before I went on holiday and I didn’t have any time to play with my new toys.
The first stamp I got inky last night just had to be the Little Elephant set that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it in the 2018-2019 catalogue. Here’s the card I made…
My photos probably don’t do it justice as I hadn’t unpacked my camera and just used my phone. I was eager to share it with you all – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it, lol.
The card base is Whisper White measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored at 14.5 cm to make a portrait tent fold card. I added a layer of Pool Party card and then 2 panels from 1 sheet of the Subtles 6 x 6 inch Designer Series Paper (DSP). The sheets in this pack are double sided so I chopped my sheet so I could use both sides of the same paper for contrast.
I don’t have any Pool Party ribbon so used some of Whisper White Classic Weave ribbon that I coloured with my Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blend pen. With hindsight I probably should have used the Light Pool Party pen instead.
The sentiment is from the Little Elephant stamp set and I masked each line when I stamped it in Versamark ink onto Pool Party circles cut using my 2 inch punch. I sprinkled them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set.
The elephant was stamped in Pool Party ink onto Whisper White card and punched using the Elephant Builder punch. If you buy both the Little Elephant stamp set and the Elephant Builder punch as a bundle you save 10%.
The hearts I used are also in the Little Elephant set and are in Pool Party ink onto Whisper White card.
I added the 2 Pool Party circles to my DSP using multi purpose glue just under the ribbon and the added some silver metallic thread before adding the Whisper White circle with dimensionals. The elephant was added to the circle using dimensionals too.
I hope you’ll agree that this Little Elephant was worth the wait as he’s just so cute!
