Painted Illusions Shadow box – video

Hello! I hope you are well. Have you seen the latest Stampin’ Up! Product of the Month? It a gorgeous pack of 12″ x 12″ designer series paper. And I’ve used it to create this Painted Illusions shadow box…

I also used the Sunshine Vibes stamps and dies bundle to decorate the top of the box, again using the Painted Illusions paper. When you slide the inner box out it looks like this…

And when you remove the bar of chocolate you get to see the other side of this awesome paper too…

MEASUREMENTS

To make the Painted Illusions shadow box in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies

• Painted Illusions DSP for the shadow box measuring 8- 3/4″ x 8-3/4″
  • score on all 4 sides at 1/2″, 1″, 1-1/2″ and 2″
  • score on 2 opposite sides at 2-1/2″ and 6-1/4″ but only down to the second horizontal score line (= 1 inch)
• Painted Illusions DSP for the box cover measuring 4-3/4″ x 12″
• Extra DSP to die cut the decorations
• Scrap of white card to die cut the hearts and for the sentiment
• ribbon and embellishments

The inside of the box measures 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ x 1/2″ to fit my bar of chocolate.

As I tried to explain in my video, I calculated the paper I needed for the shadow box as the width of the inside area plus 10 times the height, so in my case 3-3/4″ plus 5″ (10 x 1/2″) = 8-3/4″ square
