Fold Flat Christmas treat box – tutorial

Hello! I hope you are well. I must admit that I’m going to miss playing with the Christmas Tags & More 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack! This paper pack has already sold out here in the UK and Europe, but I’m making the most of what I’ve got left of it! Here’s my fold flat Christmas treat box featuring the paper and ephemera…

As you can see, I’ve used card for the main box and added a panel of the DSP to the front. As the bottom closure isn’t glued in place, you can make these boxes up in advance and store them flat until you need them. The pieces of ephemera in the DSP pack are great for decorating these boxes – so quick and easy; once you’ve made the difficult choice of what to use.

These are nice and easy to make and are the perfect size for a two finger KitKat – yum!

YOUTUBE TUTORIAL

If you’d like to check out the YouTube tutorial for my fold flat Christmas treat box, please click on the image below…

Or if you prefer you can click here to pop over to YouTube and check out today’s project video. If you enjoy watching my video, I’d love you to give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment too. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, make sure you do so when you’re there; so you don’t miss out on future videos.

Here’s the one I made in today’s video, along with the first two and lots of those lovely bits of ephemera I need to use up…

Those adhesive backed peppermint embellishments are the perfect final touch.

MEASUREMENTS

To make these boxes you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Real Red card measuring 5-1/2″ z 4-3/8″
    • score on the short side at 1-1/2″, 2″, 3-1/2″ and 4″
    • score on the long side at 3/8″ and 7/8″ from both ends (as shown in the video)
  • Christmas Tags & More DSP measuring 1-1/4″ x 3-1/2″
  • Emphemera to decorate
  • a sentiment sticker from Greetings For You
  • Embellishments

The final box measures 3-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ x 1/2″
