Elegant Pine Snowflakes cards

Hello! I hope you are well. Stampin’ Up! ran an online Craft Class a couple of days ago, that was open to both demonstrators and our customers. When you purchased the class, you got to join an exclusive Facebook group. You get all the instructions you needed to prepare to craft along when the event was live. I didn’t buy all of the Traditions of Christmas suite collection. So, I made some Elegant Pine Snowflakes cards instead!

This is the first of the cards I made…

This one involved making a stencil with dies and blending ink through the stencil on to a piece of white card. There was more die cutting, ink blending, ink splattering and stamping. I loved it!! And just look at all the lovely dimension on this card…

We were given SO many amazing tip and techniques when making this simple card. And it was fabulous to be the pupil instead of the teacher, for a change.

The second card involved some tone on tone stamping on the card base and a large focal image. I had to get a bit more creative to make my Elegant Pine Snowflakes version of this card, but here it is…

I love all the layers on this one! And the best tip in my opinion, was to thread the strip of DSP through the side of the label die cut…

I probably would never have thought of that! Such a clever and at the same time, super simple idea.

This is the third of my Elegant Pine Snowflakes cards from the class…

Now it may not look like it, but this is actually a fun fold card! The right hand side of the card is tucked under the sentiment piece, so when you open it, it looks like this…

And then, it looks like this inside…

And the ribbon you see inside, continues on the back of the card…

My third card is very different from the one taught. As I had so few of the products they used I had to adapt. But this fold would work with so many other products too.

There is a fourth project in the class, this time a home decor item. I’ve not had the time to work out my alternative version of that one. But I will get around to it sometime soon I hope.

I really enjoyed this Craft Class and as it was recorded, I can revisit it again and again. And I’m sure I’ll pick up more ideas that I missed the first time around. Stampin’ Up! will be running another Craft Class like this next month. So I’m looking forward to seeing what products they’ll be using next time. I will let you know, when I know.
