Hello! I hope you are well. If you’ve watched my last couple of YouTube videos you’ll know that I attended an event earlier this week for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Scotland. I’ve shared videos of the card I demonstrated on the day and the swaps I received. But now, it’s time to tell you a bit about the Storybook Life scrapbooking workshop kit we used.
Each group of 3 demonstrators was given a scrapbooking workshop kit and 1 person read the cutting instructions, 1 person did the cutting and the third person organised the cut pieces into the 3 double page spreads we’d be making. After that, we each set about making our 2 pages with the supplies from the kit and our favourite glue. Here’s my first page, with a photo I added after the event…

And here’s the second page…

It felt right to use photos of our work in the community garden on this second page, with those plant pots and vegetables. I hope my friend Owen doesn’t mind being included in my scrapbook!
ABOUT THE KIT
Each Stampin’ Up! Scrapbooking Workshop kit comes with everything you need to make 3 double page spreads; so 6 pages in total. You get 12″ x 12″ background papers (normally two tone card) and lots of designer series paper sheets and Willow White card to cut up, following the instruction booklet. I’m quite sure I could read, cut and organise all the pieces on my own; but it was so nice to have the help at the event!
Each kit also included stickers and pop out ephemera pieces and the instructions show you exactly how to lay them all out on your pages. But of course you don’t always have to follow the instructions!
This Storybook Life kit is currently one of the Last Chance Products and is available at the absolute bargain price of £13.20. Even once you’ve made the 6 scrapbook pages, you will still have lots of DSP left over. I used some of it to add to a piece of Soft Sea Foam two tone card and created another scrapbook page…

I used little strips of the papers across the two tone card and cut some photo mounts from White Willow card. Then I cut small strips of papers to look like tape holding the photos in place. I raided my stash of retired ephemera packs to add a few extra details to the page.
Then I made 4 thank you cards with the rest of the left over DSP…

I really tried to make the most of those cute little bunnies. The sentiment is from Textured Notes and I used the Modern Oval punch to cut them.
There really was so much leftover DSP in this scrapbooking kit. I didn’t use it all as I had shared some with the other 2 ladies I created with at the event. This just shows how fabulous value for money this Last Chance kit is. So, grab it while you can.
