Hello! I hope you are well. I had the pleasure of designing a card for a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator event that took place yesterday. Here’s my Textured Notes thank you card…

I was told the stamp set, punch and colours I could use; along with incorporating some two-tone card. But the rest was entirely up to me! So I decided to include one of my favourite techniques; faux embossing. This involves adding tone on tone die cuts or in this case Modern Oval punched pieces, so that it gives a similar look to using an embossing folder…

Then I chose to essentially encourage everyone to create their very own designer series paper with the Textured Notes stamp set. And to use the Modern Oval punch for the sentiment too.
Add in some ripped two-tone card stock and you’ve got all the elements for my card – easy! I added a little bit of stamping to the inside of my card and onto my envelope too…

The results from everyone at the event were awesome. And all absolutely unique. That’s the joy of crafting with such talented and creative people.
I made another version that you can see in today’s video…
