Hello! I hope you are well. I took inspiration from a pear tree in our community garden for today’s card. It really goes to show that inspiration is all around us, all the time, we just need to take notice of it. I have tried to replicate the colours of the fruit on the tree for this water coloured Perfectly Pears card…

And here’s the fruit on our community garden tree…

I really can’t wait for them to ripen so I can eat one. The cherries we had a couple of weeks ago were very popular, so I’ll need to keep an eye on the pears and get in quickly!
I’m not a wonderful water colour artist, but I do enjoy playing with Stampin’ Up!’s watercolor pencils and water painters. Here’s a close up of the mottled colours of my pear…

I recorded a video to show you my technique with the watercolor pencils, while I made a second version of this card…

Here’s the one I made in today’s video beside my original one…

Just like the pears on our tree, every water coloured Perfectly Pears card is going to be a little bit different! I hope you like the results as much as I enjoyed the process.
