Poppin' By popcorn treat - tutorial

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I’ve been playing around with some Online Exclusive products from Stampin’ Up! to bring you this Poppin’ By popcorn treat holder…

I have tried to emulate the iconic red and white striped popcorn buckets we all know and love. The outer piece of this treat holder is made with Real Red card and I add some 1/2″ wide strips of Basic White card on top. I used the Poppin’ By stamps and dies bundle to create the adorable little pieces of popcorn along the top and of course the sentiment too.

When you open the holder you then reveal a pocket inside that holds a pack of microwave popcorn…

And of course I had to stamp more of the cute popcorn inside.

I had another pack of microwave popcorn and recorded a video while I made a Poppin’ By holder for that one too…

MEASUREMENTS

To make the Poppin’ By popcorn treat holder I made in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies:

Real Red card for the cover measuring 9-3/4″ x 7-1/2″
- score on the long side at 4-1/2″ from each end
Basic White card for the inside pocket measuring 6-5/8″ x 5″
- score on the long side at 1/2, 1-1/8″, 5-1/2″ and 6-1/8″
- score on the short side at 1/2″ and 1-1/8″
5 strips of Basic White card that are 1/2″ wide and approx 8″ long
Basic White card to stamp and die cut the popcorn pieces, the piece of film and the sentiment circle (1-3/4″)
Basic Black card to die cut the piece of film
Lemon Lolly card to cut with the 2″ circle punch

The treat holder measures 4-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ x 3/4″
